Ryu (Project:Destroyer II) is the Shadow counterpart of Metal, created by Scar The Hedgehog, as the result of creating a hybrid of a Berserker and Blaster. Unlike Metal, he is not against G.U.N. Ryu is a human hybrid that stands at the height of six foot nine (6"9) and is the weight of ninety kilograms (90kg). He is fairly muscular and has short spiky dark black hair. On top of his head, he has two large short silver Wolf ears. Ryu's eyes are multi-coloured; the top half of each iris is red while the bottom halves are light blue. His feet are clawed, but are partly concealed by his sneakers. He has a short silver dragon tail with a spike on the end of it. His fingers are long and clawed, and his markings are are seen on his arm and reach down to his hand. On his chest, there is a tuft of silver fur that is X-shaped, which is fairly visible from the slight rip on his t-shirt.
He has grey scar shaped markings under his eyes, with them being along his arms and on his chest in a similar shape. His chest markings are concealed but the other markings are fairly visible. His markings glow when he uses certain techniques or if he is angered. He has a pair of rather large wings on his back. On the top of them there is a spike each. The wings are a ice blue colour with two dark blue markings. Where the spikes are, the top of the wings are a darker ice blue. Ryu is known to have two grey short demon horns on top of his head. A slight difference that differs him from the normal Metal, is that the fact he has a X-Shaped Scar across his face that is a grey colour. He is known to have a white stripe on his tail. He has two spikes on each of his hands, which are seen on his knuckles. He has short, white sharp fangs that are seen at times when he grins.

Ryu wears a black trenchcoat with a grey lining down the sleeves and a grey X-Shaped marking on the back of it. He wears a black V-Necked shirt under his trenchcoat that is partly ripped, showing his tuft of silver wolf fur. He wears a dark grey scarf around his neck, that is long with a red flame like marking on the end of it. He wears a pair of black armoured gauntlets, that have a slight rip to let his spikes on his knuckles show. He also wears a pair of black boots that are ripped to let his claws through, along with a strap over his trenchcoat to hold a sword or bladed weapon. He wears a pair of dark grey sunglasses as well as a dark grey headband with one red stripe round his head.

- Gauntlets: Ryu wears a pair of armoured gauntlets. While they may seem to be a normal pair of gauntlets, they seem to release a discharge of electricity, when he fights in combat.

Ryu's body is harder and more resistant to certain types of physical injury. This ability allows him to withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of a three story building and getting hit by an opponent with super-human strength. He is immune to under .50 bullets as these don't effect him.

Ryu has mastered hand-to-hand combat, and is a formidable foe for anyone that that is inexperienced in hand-to-hand combat. As well as this, he is known to be able to take on several foes in once in battle. As well as this, Ryu is a master at parkour, and wall climbing, being able to climb up a building, and run up a building fairly fast. Despite being an experiment, Ryu is educated and is slightly intelligent (having a IQ of about 130). Other than that, Ryu is slightly skilled with engineering, and creating weapons, as his Gauntlets, where created by himself with the help of his creator Scar.
